The Seward Chamber of Commerce has canceled all 2020 4th of July celebrations.
As Seward continues to see an increase of positive cases of COVID-19, the Chamber has decided to move away from our mitigation efforts and, instead, cancel the 4th of July in Seward.
This includes fireworks, vendors, and our previous decision to close select streets downtown. These cancellations are in addition to the already canceled Mount Marathon Race and parade.
In collaboration with the city of Seward, state and local healthcare providers, and our Chamber board and members, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our community to cancel all planned events. There will be no 4th of July activities or events in Seward over the holiday weekend.
The Seward Chamber of Commerce would like to thank our concerned community members and business owners for reaching out to us and sharing their valuable opinions.
