Library Museum

The Seward Community Library & Museum fills many needs in our community, serving the role of public library, museum, and community center for Seward and surrounding area. 

The library is conveniently located downtown and features an enchantingly vibrant facade that welcomes visitors. The public library offers access to a wide range of collections, public access computers, WiFi, and many other services.

The museum, which is located on the first floor of the library, is curated by Resurrection Bay Historical Society and houses a collection that documents Seward’s past. The museum is located on the first floor of the city library and hosts events about historical people and events throughout the year. Stop by to enjoy their popular historical movie program and to peruse the past of Seward. 


The Seward Children's Museum is now open! Located in the ORCA Building, it offers children opportunities for creative exploration, science, and play. Featuring a touch tank, rock wall, building station, indoor playground, and more- it is a perfect destination for year round fun. The museum is a program of Seward Prevention Coalition, a 501(c)3 organization.
