Biking

Get into gear and explore Seward via bicycle!

There are a variety of trails around Seward for mountain bikers of any experience level, from beginners looking for rolling singletrack trails through beautiful forests, to seasoned bikers looking for a leg-burning, climbing challenge.

For the experienced biker, the Lost Lake Trail is a world-class mountain biking trail just outside of Seward. With over 15 miles of beautiful views, you’ll pedal among forests and tundra interspersed with intense climbs and downhills. Here are some other great trails nearby perfect for mountain biking.

Still learning how to mountain bike? Visit the Seward Community Bike Park and take a few laps around the pump track.

For those more interested in road biking, the Seward Bike Path will take you to Herman-Leirer Road, which you can ride all the way to Kenai Fjords National Park. After the bike path, though, you’ll share the road with cars, buses, and potentially wildlife, so be on the lookout!

If you need to rent a bike or get any gear, the Seward Bike Shop is the perfect place to start your biking journey.
