Mural Walking Tour

Seward was officially designated the "Mural Capital of Alaska" in 2008. The Seward Mural Society was founded in 1999 and local artists collaborate to bring our history to light with art and maintain the "Mural Capital of Alaska" title. There are 28 murals on this walking tour with additional murals getting installed all the time! As of August 2023, the Seward Mural Society just finished a new mural that will be installed at Alutiiq Pride soon. Get your steps in and take in the wonderful art. On a rainy day, skip the walking and drive to each mural destination.
