The 2024 Seward Chamber of Commerce Micro-Membership Program and Scholarship is now available! Any high school student may become a micro-member at the Chamber, however, the scholarship is only available to high school seniors graduating this year.

We are excited to provide an opportunity for students to connect with local business members and cultivate strong work-based skills. Becoming a micro-member is a great opportunity to get a head start in your career and connect with our community businesses. It also looks awesome on your resume!

The Micro-Membership scholarship will only be awarded to a graduating high school senior. 

WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?

  • Scholarships: All micro-members who are graduating seniors will be considered for a Chamber of Commerce Scholarship of $500.
  • Resume help: Develop and build your resume with workshops from Chamber staff. Also, being a recipient of this scholarship and actively participating in local business activities looks fantastic on your resume. It shows initiative, leadership, and a commitment to growth.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals at our Chamber events, who can offer mentorship and invaluable career advice. These connections could pave the way for exciting opportunities down the road.
  • Community Engagement: Get involved in your local Chamber of Commerce and become an active participant in shaping the future of your community. Being a Chamber member opens doors to a wealth of resources and connections that can benefit you professionally and personally.

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP & A SCHOLARSHIP:

  • All interested applicants must submit an essay outlining their career objectives, their plans to accomplish their goals, identify obstacles they may face and how to they will overcome those challenges. 
  • Essay should be 5 paragraphs in length answering each question. 
  • All high school students can be a micro-member, however, scholarships are only awarded to graduating seniors.
