Seward Halloween Itinerary

Your Guide to a Spooktacular Weekend in Seward!

October has come and is now almost gone! But just because the air is crisp and the sun rises a little later doesn’t mean the fun has to slow down! In fact, this is the perfect time of year to gather with friends, embrace the spirit of the season, and celebrate all things spooky and sweet.

Whether you’re planning a weekend with kids, looking for a lively night out, or prefer a cozy, quiet evening, we’ve crafted a Halloween itinerary just for you.

Halloween Itinerary for Families with Kids

Get ready for a weekend packed with costumes, candy, and community fun!

Start your Halloween off right with trick-or-treating around the harbor and downtown area from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Afterwards, grab dinner at The Rowdy Radish, where the Seward Pride Alliance will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and chips. They’ll also have Halloween-themed crafts and games for the little ones!

Once you’ve refueled, head over to the AVTEC Gym for the Annual Halloween Carnival, featuring games, a costume contest, and a spooky haunted maze down the street at the Fire Department.

Still craving more candy? The fun continues the next afternoon with Trunk-or-Treat at the Seward Military Resort from 4:30–6:00 p.m. Dress up, admire the decorated vehicles (you might even spot a fire truck!), and top off your candy haul for the season.

Halloween Itinerary for Extroverts

For those who thrive in the buzz of celebration, we’ve got you covered!

Start your weekend with a little costume treasure hunt at local thrift stores Ukanuzit and Gypsea Treasure Trunk. Don’t forget your footwear- Ukanuzit is offering 50% off all shoes all weekend long.

Then, head to The Breeze Inn for their “Spooky Halloween Night” event. Enjoy dinner, good company, and a chance to enter and win their cruise ship raffle!

When night falls, keep the party going downtown at the Alehouse, where you can dance the night away Tim Burton–style at their costume contest and dance party with DJ Covy.

The next morning, recharge with 10% off a warm beverage and baked treat at Supaluck’s Coffee in the harbor. Pop next door to Forests, Tides, & Treasures to get a jump on your holiday shopping as they’ll have special promotions all weekend.

And if the Halloween festivities hit a little too hard, swing by Resurrection Medical Care for 20% off an IV treatment; you’ll be feeling good as new just in time for "Skaraoke" with Raunchy Rachel at Yukon Saturday night!

Halloween Itinerary for Introverts

Prefer a slower, cozier Halloween? We’ve got the perfect day for you.

Start your morning at Resurrect Art Coffee House, sipping on a seasonal latte before wandering downtown to stop by Ranting Raven for Halloween decor and goodies (maybe a tarot deck or oracle cards!), then pop into Dreamland Books & Yarn to pick out a spooky read (think Stephen King or a romantasy).

Take your new book to Primrose Provisions, order a glass of wine and a seasonal sandwich, and enjoy an afternoon of quiet indulgence while reading with a view of the bay.

Later, stop by Safeway for the perfect pumpkin, invite a friend over, and carve jack-o’-lanterns while It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown plays in the background.

For dinner, unwind with this easy one-pan recipe:
